Cherry Cobbler


We just had boring dinner of tacos last night.So ,I am sharing another dessert recipe.I promise that by the end of this coming week that I will post a dinner recipe.

I had a can of cherry pie filling in the cupboard.So I did an ingredient search on Recipezaar and found a cobbler recipe that I had all of the ingredient for .

I only made a couple of very minor changes.I used a round casserole instead of a square one.I also used Country Crock instead of butter.

This was a very easy recipe to throw together.

While the cobbler was baking,I decided it wouldn't be any good without vanilla ice cream.So I ran to the store for some.I am so glad I did because I think the cobbler would be lacking without it.

My husband and I both enjoyed this dessert.However,he was initially surprised that there were no cherries under the crust and that everything is mixed together.

My 6 year old son tried it and didn't like it.

My 4 year old son refused to try this at first.I think he was put off by the shocking red color.He did eventually try it without ice cream though and decided that he liked it.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place butter in 9" square casserole and put in 350 degree oven to melt.
  2. Combine the biscuit mix, sugar, milk, cinnamon and cherry filling. Pour into pan and bake 45 minute.
